Life in Roxborough

Welcome to my site!

This is my newly designed and semi-complete website as my old Joomla site was attacked and brought down for a couple of months until I could find the time to scrub out the malicious files.  Why anyone would waste their time with me is a mystery but then, “bots, man,….bots”.  Anyway the designations are there because the reality is that some traffic is bound to be professional in nature.  Having said that, I am far more apt to write about cycling, hunting, and fishing in my favorite place to be, -Colorado.

I’ve lived in Colorado for all but eight of the last 32 years when my family was deposited here courtesy of the United States Air Force in 1983.  I’ve lived in Roxborough since 2001, and as I have grown to hate moving trucks, I will probably have my wife Theresa just bury me in the back yard next to the two cats already there.

After a 20-year hiatus I took up hunting again about eight years ago along with some gentlemen who do it in what I consider a respectable manner, and, yes, some of the articles will have pics of the successful outings, so don’t click on those if you find the topic objectionable (I make a point of keeping it off Facebook as I’ve had vegetarian friends there).  Hunting articles should be obvious though I am still restoring them from very cryptic rescued files (getting those back was a trip).

I’ll try to be a little better about putting cycling articles up this year.  I did 5100 miles in 2015, but it is sometimes easier to ride than to write about riding.  I’ll also see what I can do to show off pics from the now monthly date nights with Theresa which are more like stay-cations around the area.
